Let go of stress

a reflexology treatment

is just a phone call away.

Welcome to Hands & Feet Reflexology
What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient art of applying gentle pressure and soothing techniques to reflex areas on the hands, feet, ears and face.  It is founded on the theory that the whole body is reflected in these areas.

It is a safe, non-invasive therapy which can help to reduce stress by promoting a deep state of relaxation, sense of balance and well-being. It creates a calming and restorative effect on the nervous system.

Today in society many of us are in a state of fight and flight (stressed and anxious). A reflexology session can induce a state of rest, digest and heal, leaving you feeling much calmer and grounded.

The body’s innate healing power can be unlocked with reflexology. The therapeutic touch used nourishes the body and triggers the release of feel good chemicals like serotonin and oxytocin. It is the perfect antidote to stress and anxiety.

Reflexology is suitable for any age group, from the very young to the elderly.

You may want to do just one session or if you have a chronic condition or health issues that you would like to work on, regular reflexology may give better results.

Maternity Reflexology

Reflexology and pregnancy go very well together, there have been studies to support this fact. During pregnancy the expecting mother goes through many hormonal and physical changes to support the growing baby.

Reflexology can help to relieve pregnancy symptoms or discomfort. It is able to facilitate a state of harmony and well-being. If you would like to have a reflexology, it is recommended that to do so after 14 weeks or in the 2nd trimester, just so the body settles naturally.

In weeks 37-40 reflexology treatments can be used to prepare for birth by relaxing the mother, balancing the endocrine, nervous and lymphatic systems.

After the birth reflexology can help to re-balance the mother’s hormone levels and support emotional and mental well-being.
